We recently completed a stunning renovation for our clients where what they love is we’re able to do everything she ever need to do for her home. We completed the project in 3 weeks instead of the planned 2 weeks, with an 8-day delay due to a glass mishap. Don’t worry, no one was hurt—except ODA's wallet!
Located in a serene neighborhood and frequently hosting gatherings at home, the client decided to enhance her home by adding glass awnings to her spacious car porch and kitchen yard, incorporating big black pillars to give the space a beautifully colonial aesthetic, complementing the existing glass awnings on the second and fourth floors.

We chose low-E light grey glass for its superior aesthetic and functional properties. But what exactly is low-E glass?
Low-E, or low-emissivity glass, has a special coating that reduces the amount of infrared and ultraviolet light that comes through, without compromising on visible light. This means it keeps interiors cooler while blocking the harsh UV light.

To manage water splashing, we installed 900mm high aluminium louvres, powder-coated for durability and a sleek look.
Powder coating enhances the metal's resistance to weather and corrosion, ensuring longevity and minimal maintenance.

For the fourth-floor roofing extension, we opted for aluminium composite panels. These panels are not only cost-effective but also provide a visually appealing finish that complements the glass awnings.
step 3: Installation Process
Level 1 - Glass Panel Roof
The car porch features a custom-made 330 sqft low-E light grey glass roof, semi-cantilevered with two supports for stability. Our experienced installers crafted individual templates to ensure precise fitting and cutting, prioritizing quality workmanship.
Level 2 - Aluminium Louvres
Around the glass awning, we installed 900mm high aluminium louvres to prevent rainwater from splashing inside the house. This solution not only addresses the water issue but also allows natural light to filter through.
Level 4 - Roofing Extension
We extended the roofing with aluminium composite panels, creating a functional yet attractive space. Their toddler loves the new area, feeling as if he’s in a restaurant, excited to spend weekends having breakfast there.
